McMAHON to assist with the hiring of a new chief of police and additional police officers

McMahon Associates Inc. will continue its work with the City of New Holstein, Wisconsin as it moves forward with hiring for its police department.

At the city’s Common Council meeting on Jan. 20, 2021, the council voted in favor of retaining the city’s police department and began the hiring process for a new police chief and two full-time police officers.

Prior to the council vote, McMAHON’s Public Safety and Municipal Management division, led by public safety manager Jeff Roemer, had been working with the City of New Holstein to perform an analysis of the police department and offer recommendations for moving forward after the departure of its police chief.

McMahon will now work with the New Holstein Common Council and its police and fire commissions on the hiring process while continuing to provide administrative support for the police department in the interim.
