McMAHON has begun work to expand and remodel the Gulfstream North Hangar at the Appleton International Airport to provide added space for growth.
McMAHON is relocating and remodeling existing office space to a new addition, creating 13,000 square feet of new shop space adjacent to the hangar. When complete, the 126,500-square-foot building will allow Gulfstream to maximize workflow efficiency within the facility. Interior and exterior finishes will match the new Gulfstream brand and provide a cohesive look with the neighboring maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) building that was also recently constructed.
In the first phase of the project, McMAHON used its architectural expertise to design the expansion and remodel and is now providing construction administration services to oversee the project.
“As members of the northeast Wisconsin community, we understand the essential roles Appleton International Airport and Gulfstream play in our local economy,” said Derek Gruber, AIA architect at McMAHON. “We have a longstanding relationship with both the airport and Gulfstream and are proud to help expand the services offered by these outstanding organizations.”
Construction began in December of 2020 and the project is expected to be complete in late summer of 2021.
