Project Overview:
This new Greenfield Facility on Hwy 70 replaced an existing casino and c-store in Hertel
The project consisted of a new 300 slot machine casino with back-of-house facilities; a new convenience store with gas and diesel fuel islands; a 50 seat restaurant; a truckers lounge facility; smoke shop and associated site work. In addition, the property contains an 800 person capacity performance amphitheater and space for community use and a recreational vehicle camp area for 16 vehicles. The facility is designed to attract year-round recreational visitors in northwestern Wisconsin.
The proposed project involved a full complement of engineering and design disciplines, including the reconstruction of Hwy 70 to provide the necessary acceleration, deceleration and passing lanes needed for the facility. McMahon provided all engineering and design needed for the highway work, site and building.
