Project Overview:
Permit changes and the need to treat septage led Forest County Potawatomi Community (FCPC) to retain McMAHON to design an upgrade to their recirculating sand filter. The initial design led to a designer-led design/build project utilizing McMahon, Inc. (a McMahon affiliate company). A septic receiving station with screening, storage and solids dewatering was provided. To meet a 0.075 mg/l total phosphorus limit, a ballasted high rate clarifier (Actiflo) was utilized along with a flow equalization basin. The entire treatment process is enclosed in a 6,000 s.f. building that includes two truck bays in Crandon, Wisconsin.
