Project Overview:

McMAHON provided engineering services for construction of this 1.5-acre pond located in Scheuring Business Park. The pond receives runoff from a six-acre watershed located on the southern portion of the Business Park. The banks of the pond were planted with approximately 90 species of wildflowers and grasses to provide the following functional values: shoreline erosion protection, filter pollutants, improve water quality, deter geese and provide a high-quality wildlife habitat. The prairie is a key component of the stormwater facility to sustainably function at a high level while beautifying the local area.
