Project Overview:
Following several successful partnership projects, YMCA of the Fox Cities approached McMahon to start planning a facility to meet the growing need for childcare in the Greenville and surrounding communities.
The interior program spaces consist of Infant, Toddler, 2-Year-Old, 3-Year-Old, Wraparound room for before and after care and two 4K Classrooms. Full-service kitchen and office spaces were included. The exterior spaces include separate, secure parking and drop-off dedicated to the childcare center. Two playgrounds are designed to allow for younger and older children to have adequate outdoor play spaces. The addition allows for easy access to the YMCA’s existing resources, yet takes into consideration future additions.
The result of just over a year of hard work and collaboration is an 11,800 SF childcare facility that displays collaboration and thoughtful design, while taking into consideration the existing facility and overall needs of the YMCA and community.
