Interns will be primarily working on-site for McMahon on one of our WisDOT construction administration projects. In 2025 there is a need for interns on projects in Manitowoc County, Outagamie County, and other locations TDB. Job duties will include:
- Observing and documenting construction activities using WisDOT programs.
- Measuring and recording contract quantities.
- Assisting in preparation of contract estimates and other construction reports.
- Assisting with sampling and transporting of materials for testing.
- Assisting with project close out documentation and reports.
Depending upon timing of WisDOT construction projects, interns may also gain experience on municipal construction projects or with municipal design projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a Civil Engineering student or related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Good communication and note taking skills
- Motivated individual with a desire to further their career
Skills:
All of the skills below are preferred, but not mandatory
- Knowledge of WisDOT specifications
- Knowledge of WisDOT programs (AASHTOWare, etc)
- Ability to decipher construction plans
- HTCP certifications
