Don Hietpas has been hired as a K-12 Administration Specialist in McMAHON’s Architecture Division. Hietpas has more than 39 years of professional administrative experience, including 17 years with the Appleton Area School District, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer for the District, and previously served on the Board of Education. As CFO, Hietpas was the head of Human Resources and employee relations for AASD. He holds a Master’s Degree in School Business Management from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Government from Lawrence University. McMAHON has worked together with Hietpas on many projects in the Appleton Area School District, prior to his retirement from the District. Don’s long tenure with the Appleton Area School District resulted in Don heading up many successful referendum campaigns, and he has joined the McMAHON team to, in part, lend his experience and expertise to our K-12 school clients in their referendum efforts. His leadership and expertise in structuring successful referendums will add a valuable component to the services McMAHON offers to local schools. We are very excited to have Don as part of our Team!
