NEENAH, Wis. (Sept. 16, 2024) — McMahon, a full-service, professional engineering and architectural firm, is proud to announce its role in the first phase of the Appleton International Airport Business Park expansion project, set to break ground later this week. This expansion will lay the foundation for future development and stimulate economic growth by providing an additional access point to the airfield. It will also offer the potential for up to ten new large airplane hangars, according to the Appleton Airport.
McMahon has been instrumental in assisting ATW with the design and planning of the first phase of the project, which includes the extension of Endeavour Drive to State Highway 76. McMahon’s design includes the Endeavour Drive extension, intersection modifications on State Highway 76, sanitary sewer, stormwater management, fiber optics and an expanded aircraft apron.
“At McMahon, we love to see communities thrive,” said Mike Kohlbeck, senior civil & transportation engineer at McMahon. “This expansion is a way to see economic business growth right here in Appleton. It’s a project that will benefit not just businesses, but the entire community.”
McMahon has also helped advance the development of the Appleton Airport business park through its projects with Gulfstream. Most recently, McMahon designed Gulfstream’s paint hangar and played a key role in the expansion and remodeling of its north hangar and adjacent office space.
Appleton Airport is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the business park expansion on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. The event will take place at Endeavour Drive, located on the northwest side of the airport.
