Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin recently honored Consolidated Construction Company, Inc. with a ‘Gold Project of Distinction’ Excellence in Construction Awards for the Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. Facility in Joplin, Missouri. McMAHON is proud to have partnered with Consolidated Construction on the design of both the main building (152,240 square feet) and the wastewater treatment facility. We provided architectural and structural design services for the main building. For the wastewater treatment facility, McMAHON assisted with architectural, structural, electrical systems and instrumentation, HVAC, plumbing, and wastewater piping design elements of the project. Additionally, design/build services were provided by McMahon, Inc., related to the wastewater treatment process equipment and start-up.

The fast-track design/build project was engineered, permitted, and completed on-budget in just twelve months. Ajinomoto Foods is a leading manufacturer in the frozen food industry, dedicated to contributing to a healthier lifestyle through nutritious and balanced foods. Ajinomoto currently operates eight factories and two main offices domestically in the United States, with over 2,500 employees.
