Each year since 1999, the Polar Plunge challenges thousands of brave jumpers at numerous locations around Wisconsin to be “Freezin’ for a Reason”. That reason, of course is to support the Special Olympics of Wisconsin, and the opportunities they provide for over 10,000 individuals with disabilities year-round. Plungers and their supporters have raised over $20 million for Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes. Donations support the many different Olympic-type sports offered, including National and World Games, as well as free health care screenings to ensure optimal health and performance during competition.

In February, a team from McMAHON took the plunge in Oshkosh. For the 5th year in a row, our team took home the “Coolest Company” Award, with their Olympic-themed team costumes and spectacular entries into the icy waters of Lake Winnebago! Congratulations to team members Andy Schmidt, Matt Greely, Cindy Rowland, Lisa Tiseling, Ben Hamblin, Matthew Tan, Shawn Jandrey, Jordan Wochenske, Shane Kelliher, and Reed Schmechel.
